Great service from the moment i stepped in, the few different servers were friendly and warm. The bowl of hot noodles is great, and it was not salty as per what i read - which got me to go try them. A bowl full of toppings which made every mouthful full of bite and flavours. I guess the only downside is the price. Nevertheless, it’s a great choice - price aside.

Delicious bowl of black garlic ramen. The garlicky soup was flavourful and filled with bean sprouts. The fried rice was unexpectedly full of wok hei.

Love the ramen here for its garlicky taste. It’s simple to order from the vending machine before being shown to your seat. I chose the specialty and was given a choice of raw eggs or boiled ramen egg. I chose the latter. It is a walking distance from Kumamoto Station.

Tamagoiri Ramen, Gyoza. Customers can choose between two raw egg yolks or the regular ramen egg for their Kumamoto-style Tonkotsu Ramen. Tonkotsu broth which originated from nearby Hakata is perhaps the default ramen broth in the Kyushu region here. Very tasty. There are several outlets here and I visited the main stall about 10 mins drive from the city.

Came on a weekend evening at 7pm, no queue and service is good. Restaurant is in a nice neighbourhood and the walk from the main road is about 5 to 10 mins. Noodle taste good, chewy and al dente, soup has loads of garlic taste so if you are someone who dislike garlic you may not enjoy it. Will i travel all the way here to eat again, unlikely... but it's definitely worth a try.

7 mins walk from Kumamoto station, Ramen is good, noodle texture is just right, soup not too salty and slice pork is soft and tender.

My first time to try Kumamoto ramen, it was awesome! The flavor is Tonkotsu, but it’s not too strong and oily and not hard to finish all! The staff asked me if I wanted two egg yolks or a boiled egg as topping. I chose the first option because I heard it’s popular and unique. It was definitely nice, it made the taste a bit milder and I saw all other customers get the egg yolks! You can find how to eat it on the menus! If you’re not sure where to have Kumamoto ramen around Kumamoto station, try it!

Great Ramen place with an interesting taste of black sauce garlic. Easy to get to as well. A short walk of less than 10min from Kumamoto station. Enjoyed their house special Ramen with 2 eggs. Ordering was a breeze via their machine by the door with English support. Staff was nice and speaks a little English too. Went on Saturday evening and there wasn’t much crowd.
